Last month, in conjunction with PrimeGlobal’s World Conference, Schneider Downs participated in an International Business event, bringing together representatives from 30 countries with advisors, clients and other colleagues to discuss specifics about starting operations in these jurisdictions. Given the relatively stable U.S. economy and large-market potential, the USA table was quite popular! From e-commerce start-up businesses to product manufacturing and distribution, we discussed the steps to doing business in the USA, highlighting both differences and similarities to conducting business in other countries.
The PrimeGlobal World Conference that followed included delegates from more than 60 countries and sessions focused on Global Economic Outlook, Employee Engagement and Retention, Islamic Banking, Impact of IT on Auditing, as well as other pertinent topics.
This week, we were all horrified by the violence in Paris. Just a short time ago, we were with colleagues from around the globe in restaurants, at famous sights, and just walking around the city. Now we mourn with our colleagues in France. We are all saddened by this tragic loss of life. In business, we are PrimeGlobal. Today, we are Paris.
(PrimeGlobal is one of the top five largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world with over 300 firms in 80 countries. Schneider Downs has been a member of Prime Global since 1979.)
