How I got hired

This amazing opportunity all started when I took a chance and started networking during the fall of my freshman year. I met with the amazing Gretchen, and she told me to see her the following year. I took her up on that offer and accepted an intern position soon after my interview.

Working with Schneider Downs has been a revolutionary experience. I have learned so much, more than I ever thought possible. I cannot wait to keep learning and growing as an accounting professional. This regional firm opened my eyes to a smaller work environment that has made the learning curve much less steep and something I have really loved during my time here. 

I have gained valuable experience while working with clients, other interns and the full-time staff. I have worked on many programs, in several different software systems. I value the immense importance that SD has for learning and growing as professionals. I have loved the opportunity to attend industry updates and other trainings alongside the full-time staff. 

SD opened my eyes to all the possibilities, and I have gained so many valuable connections that I know I can utilize in my future. I am solidified in my decision to continue my accounting career path and even more excited to continue growing and learning more about the field and all I can accomplish in it.
